Become a Contestant

Do you have talent? Are you interested in volunteering in your community? Would you love to represent your area and earn scholarship money? If you answered yes then you need to be a part of the Miss Texas Organization!

Here is how you can be a part:

1. Competing at an Official MISS Local Preliminary:

Every Miss America started somewhere on a local stage in their hometown community or university. It all begins on the local level. Once you win a local title you then go on to compete for the state title at our Miss Texas pageant in July. A local director runs each local and he or she would love to share with you about their local pageant.

There is no competition fee to compete in a local pageant. Each contestant must raise a minimum of $100 for the Children’s Miracle Network to compete in a Miss Texas local pageant. If you compete in more than one local pageant, you must raise a minimum of $100 for each local pageant you enter up to a total of $500. Once you have raised $500 you are not required to raise more money and can enter as many local pageants for which you qualify in the current pageant year.

2. College/Fair/Festival Winners:

A contestant who holds a college, fair, festival, or judged event title may apply to compete at the Miss Texas Pageant. There are guidelines and the State Board will make the final determination. For more information: CLICK HERE
